1 Injured in North Highlands Hit-and-Run Crash Near Watt Avenue and A Street

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (August 28, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person near Watt Avenue and A Street in North Highlands.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at around 1:43 a.m.

CHP said a blue 2018 Mercedes and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. They crashed in the 5700 block of Watt Avenue near the intersection with A Street in North Highlands.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled. Officers forced the area near Watt Avenue and A Street to shut down following the hit-and-run crash.

The cause of the North Highlands collision is still under investigation.
