1 Injured in North Highlands Hit-and-Run at Longview and Roseville
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (November 22, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Longview Drive and Roseville Road in North Highlands.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:37 p.m.
The incident happened on November 21 when a black van ran a red light for an unknown reason. The vehicle then slammed into a silver Ford F150 at the intersection of Longview Drive and Roseville Road in North Highlands.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
CHP added that one of the cars involved rolled over upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 80.
Medical personnel found an occupant of the pickup who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the van did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the corner of Longview and Roseville to shut down following the wreck. The North Highlands hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
