Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on I-80 Freeway
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2024) — A motorcycle accident in North Highlands happened Wednesday on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway, just east of Madison Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the I-80 Freeway at around 7:33 a.m. on Feb. 7th, according to a dispatch report from the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the red motorcycle and a white Subaru collided in the HOV lane due to unknown circumstances. The rider went down in the HOV lane and the bike wound up in the fast lane.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene to help the injured motorcycle rider, but there are no further details at this time.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 80 Freeway.
