NORTHRIDGE (April 5, 2017)- A DUI crash involving an Uber driver took place Tuesday evening on Zelzah Avenue near Nordhoff Street, per CBS Los Angeles.
The collision took place at the 9100 block of Zelzah just after midnight involving three total vehicles including two black sedans and a red sedan.
Authorities report that the driver of the red sedan triggered the collision after hitting both black sedans, one of which was an Uber certified vehicle.
Per CBS Los Angeles, the driver of one of the black sedans, an unidentified man, suffered major injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He remains in serious condition at this time.
Five others suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate all who were taken by ambulance to medical centers.
Meanwhile, police officials were able to confirm that the driver of the red sedan was indeed under the influence. The driver who remains unidentified was arrested at the scene and faces serious charges.
