Northridge Motorcycle Crash Tuesday at Balboa and RoscoeMotorcyclist Could Lose Leg Following Accident

NORTHRIDGE (August 8, 2017)- According to the Daily News, a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a collision with another vehicle Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at around 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Balboa and Roscoe boulevards.

Authorities arrived at the scene and informed the Daily News that the motorcyclist suffered major injuries bad enough to where he may potentially lose his leg, according to LAPD Officer Larry Wright.

Per the Daily News, the unidentified victim remains hospitalized as his condition has to have been updated.

Details regarding the sequence of events that took place leading up to crash remains unclear at this time while the Los Angeles Police Department investigates further into this matter.

A forensic examination of both the vehicle and the motorcycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident. Other potential factors will be looked into as well including whether or not either the driver of the motorcyclist were under the influence at the time of the accident? Was either driver driving recklessly or over the speed limit prior to impact? What were the road conditions and how was the lighting in the vicinity of where the accident occurred? Each of these factors will be assessed allowing police officials to draw up a final conclusion.
