Norwalk Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash Pioneer and Firestone Boulevards

Woman, 75, Killed in Norwalk Hit-and-Run Near Pioneer and Firestone

NORWALK, CA (August 8, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Pioneer and Firestone boulevards in Norwalk.

According to the KTLA News and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 8:15 a.m.

Police said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in Norwalk. The driver hit her near the intersection of Pioneer and Firestone boulevards.

Elderly Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the crash site. They found the 75-year-old woman left lying unresponsive on the ground as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon pronounced her dead at the scene. The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the elderly woman and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Pioneer and Firestone to shut down following the collision.

The fatal Norwalk hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
