Pedestrian Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Norwalk
NORWALK, Calif. (July 31, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident involving several vehicles happened early Wednesday on the Rosecrans Avenue off ramp to the San Gabriel (605) River Freeway in Norwalk.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash at 1:46 a.m. on July 31st in the southbound lanes of the freeway at the exit on Rosecrans Avenue.
Authorities located a damaged Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and the pedestrian on the Rosecrans off-ramp, the CHP said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead on scene.
Police diverted traffic to the Imperial Highway exit after they closed the Rosecrans Avenue off ramp from the 605 to investigate the deadly pedestrian accident.
