Twins Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Norwalk
NORWALK (August 8, 2017) – A suspected hit-and-run accident left two pedestrians injured in the area of Foster Road and Pioneer Boulevard on Monday night, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
The collision was reported at approximately 8:30 p.m.
As per the Norwalk Police Department, Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and found two teens identified as twins- Joy Rouse and Carlos Rouse, 17, injured after being struck by a passing motorist.

Both victims were immediately taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified moderate injuries. As of Tuesday morning, both Carlos and Joy were released from the hospital and are on their road to recovery.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The description of the suspect vehicle and the identity of the alleged hit-and-run motorist were not available.
In this case, the driver will likely be held responsible for causing the accident. It is expected for any motorist to stop and remain at the scene after being involved in a crash. Regardless of their reasons, fleeing the area is a serious crime and punishable by law, especially if the collision led to the injury of another individual.
