NOVATO (July 20, 2016)- According to the Marin Independent Journal, a DUI crash injured four motorists Tuesday afternoon on Atherton Avenue.
The collision took place at 1:30 p.m. when a man identified as Bermin Lopez, 25, crossed over westbound traffic lanes into eastbound lanes triggering a collision with two other vehicles.
All three vehicles incurred substantial damage and were deemed to be totaled, the article included.
A passenger in Lopez’s vehicle identified as Dagoberto Hernandez, 21, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital for injuries.
Two other motorists were injured as well including Thomas Marshall, 57, and Carrie Cummings, 57.
The Marin Independent Journal confirmed that Lopez suffered major injuries and was rushed to a trauma center for his injuries.
It was also confirmed that Lopez was under the influence as he will be arrested and likely booked into Marin County Jail once he is out of the hospital for a DUI and driving with a suspended license.
