Nuevo Fatal Car Crash Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue

1 Killed in Nuevo Crash Near Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue

NUEVO, CA (November 18, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person near Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue in Nuevo.

The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the tragic accident on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:31 p.m.

Cal Fire said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Nuevo. They crashed near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue.

2 Cars Collide

A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the cars as a green Ford Expedition and a gray Toyota sedan. One of them obtained major damage upon impact.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed a trapped occupant from the wreckage. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.

The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Ramona and Lakeview to shut down for a time following the wreck.

The cause of the fatal Nuevo crash is still under investigation.
