Multi-Vehicle Oakdale Car Accident on SR-120 (Highway 120)
OAKDALE, Calif. (July 7, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Oakdale crash happened Thursday morning on Highway 120 near Sawyer Avenue in the San Joaquin Valley.
The 3-vehicle crash occurred about 6:47 a.m. on July 7th, in Stanislaus County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported two pickup trucks and a black Subaru station wagon collided due to unknown circumstances. At least one of the vehicles involved overturned during the collision.
Additionally, police closed down State Route 120 in both directions to allow for a medical helicopter to land and airlift at least one person to a hospital. It’s unknown how many people were hurt in the crash, but it appears that at least one person had serious injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded to remove the Subaru with front-end damage and a broken axel as well as the full-size pickup truck with front-end damage and a missing left front tire. The CHP dispatch report mentioned there was a lot of debris in the roadway that needed to be cleaned up.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Oakdale crash.
