Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Collision Near 26 Mile Road
Oakdale, CA (April 16, 2023) – One person died and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Highway 120 at 26 Mile Road.
According to Modesto Bee News, a pickup truck collided with a dirt bike at the intersection in Oakdale. Earlier reports indicated the 2003 Honda cycle sustained significant damage due to the force from the impact. The horrible crash took place Wednesday night, April 12.
Deadly Traffic Accident in Oakdale
Rescue teams responded to the accident scene shortly after 8:10 p.m. Medical personnel found the 20-year-old driver of the dirt bike suffering in serious injuries. Given that, an ambulance rushed the injured party to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Authorities added the passenger, a 16-year-old Riverbank resident, sustained injuries in the crash and was also taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old man driving the 1996 Ford pickup appeared unharmed after the crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to determine why the two motorists entered the intersection at the same time. Further investigation is ongoing on the collision that happened at Highway 120 at 26 Mile Road in Oakdale.
