1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Oakdale Crash at Valley Home and Pleasant Valley
OAKDALE, CA (November 14, 2022) – A crash killed one person and seriously injured another at Valley Home and Pleasant Valley roads near Oakdale.
According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place last week on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on November 11 shortly after 5 p.m.
The incident began when a 2001 Ford was traveling around 55 mph on Valley Home Road at Pleasant Valley Road near Oakdale.
At the same time, a 2013 Honda made a turn in front of the Ford. The Ford tried to slow down but failed due to a 2007 Honda on the other side of the roadway.
Multiple Cars Collide
In the process, the 2013 car spun clockwise and came to a stop over a canal bridge shoulder. The California High Patrol said the Ford hit the left side of the 2007 vehicle and then rolled over.
Firefighters soon arrived and pronounced the driver of the older Honda, a 47-year-old Stockton man, dead at the scene. His passenger sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Valley Home and Pleasant Valley to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Oakdale crash is still under investigation.
