1 Dead, 2 Injured in Oakhurst Crash at Road 222 and Pettitt Road
OAKHURST (July 24, 2018) – A fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Road 222 and Pettitt Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to The Fresno Bee and Sierra News Online.
The accident involving two vehicles was reported at about 2:51 p.m. in the intersection. Road 222 is also known as Bass Lake Road.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said a Kia Forte was going west on Road 222 when for an unknown reason it crossed over the double yellow line. The Kia then collided with a Hyundai Tuscon which was headed east at the time.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and extricated the driver of the Hyundai from the wreckage. The victim was flown to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with unspecified injuries.
The passenger in the Tucson, a 35-year-old Oakhurst man, sustained minor wounds.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist in the Forte died at the scene. The names of the deceased and wounded parties involved have not been yet released.
The road was closed in both directions for approximately two hours. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
