2-Vehicle Fatal Highway 41 Crash in Oakhurst
OAKHURST, Calif. (Nov. 19, 2019) — One person died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on State Route 41 at Lewis Creek Trailhead.
The crash was reported at 7:43 a.m. to the California Highway Patrol. It appears that one person died at the scene of the collision, but it’s unknown at this time if there were also injuries among the others involved.
One of the vehicles went off the roadway in a passenger vehicle and overturned, leaving the driver trapped. A second person in a black Nissan was able to get out of their vehicle after the crash.
It’s unknown what led to the crash, however, police are heading up the investigation into fault.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene as evidence.
