OAKLAND, California (May 14, 2016) – One person was killed following a multi-car crash on the southbound Highway 880 near Highway 980, according to an article by ABC 7.
The accident happened on May 13 at around 1:38 a.m.
As per the article, authorities responded to the freeway and located three vehicles involved in a wreck.
The collision resulted in one person suffering in fatal trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other parties were rescued and treated for sustained injuries of unspecified severity.
The names of the involved parties have not been released at this time pending notification of the victim’s family members.
Investigators assigned to handle this incident will continue to gather more evidence as there are several factors that remain unclear.
