2-Vehicle Crash in Caldecott Tunnel in Oakland
OAKLAND, Calif. (May 23, 2018) — At least one person was injured Wednesday morning in a collision between two motorists in the Caldecott Tunnel on Highway 24, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported about 5:25 a.m. this morning in the eastbound lanes of the roadway. The crash was blocking all traffic lanes and caused congestion and a SigAlert. The tunnels reopened to traffic about 6:30 a.m. this morning.
Paramedics responded to treat the individual who was hurt, but there were no further details.
