
1 Injured in Oakland Crash on Interstate 880 at Hegenberger Road
OAKLAND, CA (December 14, 2022) – At least one was injured after a big rig crash on the Interstate 880 and Hegenberger Road in Oakland.
According to the KRON 4 News and CBS San Francisco, the accident took place late Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:23 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two big rigs collided for an unknown reason in the city of Oakland. The trucks crashed on the northbound Interstate 880 at Hegenberger Road.
Two Semi-Trucks Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, north of High Street. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The reports did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 880 to shut down near Hegenberger following the wreck. The cause of the Oakland crash is still under investigation.
