Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 880
OAKLAND, Calif. (August 15, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened on Wednesday evening in Oakland California on the Interstate 880 near Market Street off ramp.
The traffic accident occurred at around 5:39 PM on Wednesday August 14th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A blue Honda Accord, a black sedan, a white Chevrolet pickup truck, a grey Toyota Camry, and semi truck all were involved in the major traffic crash. All the vehicles were piled up in the center divide of the freeway.
Also, most of the northbound traffic lanes were blocked and caused traffic to come to a stop. In addition, CHP officials reported that two or more vehicles were smoking and one vehicle, the grey Toyota Camry, had white smoke coming out of it.
Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for accident in Oakland California on the Interstate 880 Freeway.
