Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 580 Freeway
OAKLAND, Calif. (July 20, 2023) — An Oakland crash happened Thursday on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway near the Lakeshore Avenue off ramp.
The 3-vehicle collision occurred on the Interstate 580 around 6:31 a.m. on July 20, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a black Honda Civic, a white Kia Forte and a third vehicle were involved and blocking the off ramp, the report said. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the traffic accident.
Paramedics with the Oakland Fire Department responded to help at least one person with minor injuries, but there are no specific details. .
Also, at least one of the vehicles required a tow truck due to significant damage.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the multi-vehicle Oakland crash on the I-580 Freeway.
