Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near I-580 Offramp
Oakland, CA (May 26, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred near the area of Interstate 580 West offramp to Seminary Avenue.
The NBC News reported a vehicle was traveling on the freeway in Oakland Thursday evening. According to the article published online, the motorist struck a pedestrian when it exited the offramp onto Seminary Avenue. The California Highway Patrol logged the incident at about 10:42 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The CHP confirmed the fatality around 11:03 p.m.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident on Interstate 580 in Oakland.
