At Least 1 Injured in Car Accident on 880 Freeway Near 23rd Avenue

November 3, 2018 – A suspected DUI collision occurred early Saturday on the northbound Interstate 880 Freeway, according to ABC News.
The crash was first reported at 3:40 a.m.
As per the article, a vehicle driven by an unidentified Hayward woman crashed into multiple support beams along the freeway. The beams were holding steel girders of the new 23rd Avenue overpass that was being constructed, officials said.
Shortly after the accident, paramedics said at least one person was hurt in the wreck. The identity of the victim, and their recent condition have not been disclosed.
