2 Killed in Collision Near Redwood Road Offramp
Oakland, CA (August 24, 2022) – Two people died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 13, the East Bay Times reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle veered off the roadway for an unknown reason and hit the right-shoulder guardrail. According to the article published online, the car smashed into some trees along the highway just north of the Redwood Road exit.
The collision took place Wednesday at about 3:35 a.m.
Deadly Car Accident on Highway 13 in Oakland
When rescue teams arrived at the crash site, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. First responders found two parties trapped in the fiery wreckage. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the victims sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The names of the fatal victims remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly crash that happened on Highway 13 in Oakland.
