2-Vehicle Collision on Telegraph Avenue
Oakland, CA (April 22, 2023) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on Telegraph Avenue Saturday morning, April 22.
According to East Bay Times, a two vehicles collided near the 2700 block of Telegraph Avenue in Pill Hill. Earlier reports indicated a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck crashed into the back of a Mazda CX-9 SUV stopped at a traffic light. The catastrophic incident took place at about 2:18 a.m.
Officials said the force from the impact forced the Mazda to collide with two other vehicles.
Deadly Car Accident in Oakland
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found multiple vehicles with significant damage. Responding medical personnel checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. Paramedics later sadly confirmed the driver of the Toyota Tacoma sadly died in the collision. The article published online mentioned authorities only identified the deceased as a 51-year-old man from Alameda.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Telegraph Avenue in the Pill Hill area of Oakland.
