At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on I-880 Freeway Saturday
Oakland, CA (May, 16, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on the Interstate 880, also known as Nimitz Freeway, Saturday evening.

The California Highway Patrol group reported two or more vehicles collided on the northbound lanes of I-880 Freeway in Oakland. Following the incident, at least one person involved in the wreck apparently fled the scene before police arrived.
Meanwhile, emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 8 p.m. Paramedics reportedly rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, officials confirmed one person sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The name of the injured party, and the extent of their trauma remained unknown at this time.
No immediate information was discussed on the hit-and-run suspect. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the identity and location of the suspect in the hit-and-run car crash in Oakland.
