OAKLAND, California (June 24, 2016) — At least two people suffered major injuries in a crash early Friday morning in a crash on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway near the Oakland Bay Bridge, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 4:19 a.m. this morning. There were airbags deployed and people who were no responsive. Firefighters were called the scene to extricate those who were trapped in vehicles. The No. 2 lane was closed for about an hour on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway.
A SigAlert was issued due to the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
