OAKLAND (October 25, 2016)- According to KCRA News, a deadly solo vehicle crash took place Tuesday morning at the 2500 block of 35th Avenue.
At around 1:00 a.m., the driver of a Chevy accompanied by four passengers lost control of the vehicle and slammed into several police cars and two parked vehicles.
The front seat passenger identified as Marcello Lopez, 27, of Hayward, suffered fatal injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene by police officials.
Two men and a woman, each of them passengers in theirs 20s, were moderately injured and taken to emergency centers for injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Oakland man, was seriously injured. He is suspected to have been under the influence and believed to have been speeding at the time of the crash.
No additional information has been disclosed at this time.
