Multi-Vehicle Oakland Accident on I-80 Freeway
OAKLAND, Calif. (August 19, 2021) — A multi-vehicle Oakland motorcycle accident involving multiple vehicles happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 80 Freeway.
The collision happened about 7:17 a.m. on August 19th near the Maritime Street off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorists involved included two motorcyclists, a blue pickup truck, a black Toyota Highlander, a white box truck and a red pickup truck.
One of the motorcycle riders went down in the HOV lane following the collision with at least one of the other motorists.
The two left lanes became blocked by the vehicles and drivers got out to photograph the crash scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics and CHP officers responded to help those involved. It’s unknown how many were injured in the collision.
Additionally, investigators seek to determine fault for the Oakland motorcycle accident.
