Motorcycle Rider Hurt in Crash with Truck on 880 Freeway
OAKLAND, Calif. (August 19, 2021) — An Oakland motorcycle crash on the Interstate 880 Freeway happened Thursday morning near 29th Avenue.
The major-injury collision happened about 7:52 a.m. on August 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcycle rider went down in the slow lane following a collision with a small, black and white work truck. The bike wound up underneath the truck and the rider was badly hurt. Details about what led up to the accident are unknown at this time.

Firefighters and police responded to the scene and emergency vehicles blocked the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The age, gender and identity of the rider is unknown at this time.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Oakland motorcycle crash and liability.
