Pickup Truck, Motorcycle Crash on 880 Freeway
OAKLAND, Calif. (June 8, 2018) — A person riding a black scooter or motorcycle and a construction work pickup truck collided today on the northbound Interstate 880 Freeway, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 8:16 a.m. at the 7th Street off ramp. The white Ford F-250 pickup truck had a flat right tire and was on the right shoulder after the collision. It’s unknown whether that was the cause of the crash or if the flat tire was the result of the collision.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those who were hurt in the crash, but there were no further details.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Police are investigating this collision and reviewing evidence to determine fault. At this time, it appears that at least one person was hurt in the crash, but hopefully it’s not serious injuries. There are many unanswered questions about what led to the crash and liability, but it takes time for police to issue a police report and this is necessary to establish fault.
We offer our prayers to all those affected by this crash.
