Minor Injuries in 4-Car Accident, Maritime Street
OAKLAND, Calif. (May 30, 2024) — A four- vehicle car accident happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 80 in the city of Oakland, in Alameda County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 10:01 am, on the morning of May 30th 2024 on Maritime Street, in Alameda County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A grey Porsche SUV, white Fiat 500, silver Honda CRV and another unknown vehicle all crashed into one another on Interstate 80, near Maritime Street, in Oakland California. It was reported that the Porsche and the Fiat were blocking the slow lane and lane number four of the freeway.
In addition, one vehicle ended up in the brush nearby the freeway with airbags deployed. Another vehicle was pushed off the roadway and one more car crashed into a tree. All of these vehicles were scattered across the Interstate 80 freeway and became a major traffic hazard.
Paramedics arrived on scene of the crash and transported those injured to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Tow trucks were also requested on the scene to help remove the debris and damaged cars off the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on Interstate 80, in Oakland California.
