Man Struck and Killed at Oakland Intersection
OAKLAND, Calif. (April 8, 2024)— A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision Monday morning at 75th Avenue and San Leandro Street in East Oakland.
The fatal crash occurred at about 12:48 a.m. on April 8th at the Oakland intersection, according to East Bay Times.
Authorities located the man suffering major injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
Police believe a driver in an unknown vehicle struck the man and fled the scene without stopping to help him or call for paramedics, police said.
Investigators are working to locate the suspect and police are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for leads that result in the arrest of the driver. Witnesses may call investigators at 510-777-8570 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
