Involved Female Motorist Stops After Collision
OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA (March 28, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on southbound 880 Freeway Tuesday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 9:34 p.m. near Oak Street.
Preliminary record stated that a man was attempting to cross the roadway when he was suddenly hit by an oncoming white Honda CRV.
The force from the smash was significant, concluding with the pedestrian lying lifeless on the lane way, as mentioned in the CHP report.
The identity of the fatality remained private with the authorities until families and relatives have been respectively notified.
The CHP log narrated that the involved female motorist stopped upon impact and coordinated with the authorities, leading to no hit and run call raised on the incident.
