7 Bus Passengers Hospitalized After Collision at 10th and Market Street Friday
Oakland, CA (October 18, 2021) – Several people suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred in the area of 10th and Market Street.
On October 15, Friday, police were pursuing a stolen vehicle in Contra Costa County. Officers reportedly started chasing the stolen Toyota Camry shortly after 2 p.m.
Stolen Car vs. Bus Crash in Oakland, October 15
When the suspect approached the intersection at 10th and Market, the Toyota Camry collided with a AC Transit bus. Authorities said the crash happened at about 2:20 p.m.
Responding medical personnel arrived at the location and immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. According to NBC Bay Area News, a bus driver and seven passengers were onboard at the time of the accident. Paramedics reportedly transported all eight bus occupants to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash at 10th and Market Street in Oakland.
