2 Injured in Oakland Tesla Crash on Interstate 880 Near 66th Avenue
OAKLAND, CA (December 2, 2021) – At least two were hospitalized after a crash on the Interstate 880 near 66th Avenue in Oakland.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:23 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Oakland. They crashed on the southbound Interstate 880, just north of the 66th Avenue off-ramp.
Multiple Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a white Tesla, a black Toyota Corolla and a white pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Two people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to the Kaiser Permanente San Leandro Medical Center and Highland Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. The cause of the Oakland crash is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the Interstate 880 to shut down near 66th Avenue following the wreck.
