
2 Hospitalized After Collision Near Seminary Road
Oakland, CA (April 23, 2023) – Two drivers suffered injuries following a head-on car crash that occurred on the Interstate 580 Freeway Sunday morning, April 23.
According to KRON4 and Mercury News, a Ford F-150 pickup truck allegedly intentionally veered into the opposite side of I-580. Earlier reports indicated when the eastbound Ford F-150 approached the area near Seminary Avenue offramp, the driver slammed head-on into a westbound Ford F-250 owned by the City of Oakland.
Major Car Accident in Oakland
Rescue teams responded to the crash site shortly after 7:09 a.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found the city employee driving the Ford F-250 suffering in injuries. An ambulance transported the injured persona to Highland Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford F-150 was also transferred to the same hospital with major injuries. The names of the patients, and their conditions at this time have not been discussed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened on Interstate 580 in Oakland.
