Major Injury Collision at Oasis Intersection
OASIS, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Thursday in Oasis on Highway 86 and 81st Avenue.
The collision occurred on southbound State Route 86 around 12:08 p.m. on Oct. 31st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials responded to the scene of the crash involving a yellow big rig truck and two other vehicles, the report said.
Police reported several lanes were blocked by the vehicles and CalFire emergency crews.
At least one person was hospitalized with major injuries, but there are no further details at this time.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the car accident on Highway 86 in Oasis.
However, the Oasis intersection is known to be a dangerous one.
Nearly two years ago, five people including two children died in a car crash here on Jan. 14, 2023.
