2 Injured in Ocean Beach Crash Near Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz Boulevards

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 26, 2022) – A car crash left two people injured near Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz boulevards in Ocean Beach.

According to an article published by the FOX 5 News, the accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:50 p.m.

The incident happened on June 22 when an eastbound 2008 Nissan Altima was stopped at the red light in the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego.

Police said for an unknown reason, a 2015 Kia Sol failed to see the Nissan stopped near Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz boulevards. In the process, the Kia slammed into the rear of the Altima.

2 Cars Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a passenger in the Kia, a 25-year-old man, who sustained a spinal fracture and complained of numbness in his legs.

The 40-year-old woman driving the Nissan complained of head pain as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed both patients to the hospital for treatment.

The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Ocean Beach crash is still under investigation.

Police forced the area of Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz boulevards to shut down following the wreck.
