Alondra Guadalupe Esquivel Killed in Oceanside Crash
OCEANSIDE (July 7, 2017)- According to NBC San Diego, a deadly wrong-way 2-car head-on crash was reported within the early stages of Friday morning on the southbound 5 freeway near Mission Avenue.
The accident occurred at 2:01 a.m. precisely between a Toyota 4Runner and a 2011 Toyota Camry.
Oceanside Man, 31, was Under Influence and Caused Crash
Per the article, the driver of the Toyota Camry, a 31-year-old male of Oceanside, had been traveling northbound in southbound lanes of I-5 before colliding head-on with Alondra Guadalupe Esquivel, 38, of Santa Maria, in the 4Runner.
The victims, both who were the sole occupants in their vehicles sadly died on impact following the collision.
Authorities are currently investigating and believe that the Oceanside man was likely under the influence of drugs and or alcohol as they were likely a contributing factor.

Based on this news report, it is apparent that the 31-year-old man will be held responsible for this tragedy as he was clearly negligent being under the influence and driving the opposite way of traffic.
