The incident took place on Vista Way at precisely 5:06 p.m.
The article reports that Najee Williams had been riding a Yamaha R1 and was in the No. 2 lane before being struck the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta.
The driver of the Jetta allegedly failed to see Williams approaching and therefore attempted to make a left-hand turn into a shopping center hitting the 22-year-old man.
Williams was rushed to Tri-City Med Center but sadly did not survive his injuries and pronounced deceased a short while later after being admitted.
The Oceanside Police Department will handle the investigation and will likely hold the Jetta driver liable for causing the crash.
