Driver Rans Red Light, Hits Patrol Vehicle
Rohnert Park, CA (October 26, 2022) – An on-duty officer suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of Rohnert Park Expressway and State Farm Drive.
The KRON4 News reported the on-duty Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officer was heading east on Rohnert Park Expressway. Preliminary investigation revealed the deputy proceeded on a green traffic signal into the intersection at State Farm Drive.
According to the article published online, the collision happened when a silver Honda sedan entered the intersection against a red traffic signal. The car reportedly struck the front side of the patrol vehicle.
Officer Injured in Crash at Rohnert Park Expressway and State Farm Drive
Our sources confirmed the officer suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. The name of the victim, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Honda.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the accident that happened at Rohnert Park Expressway and State Farm Drive.
