SAN DIEGO, California (May 3, 2016) – A San Diego police officer was injured following a rear-end collision in the 6800 block of Potomac Street Monday morning, according to CBS 8.
The accident happened at around 6:11 a.m. in Paradise Hills.
Preliminary report stated that a police patrol pulled over the roadway to attend some business when it was suddenly struck from the rear by a silver Ford car.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in the officer and the Ford driver suffering in wounds.
Responding paramedic team transported both parties to a hospital for treatment of sustained minor trauma.
It remained under investigation why the Ford motorist lost control of its automobile leading to the smash.
The CBS 8 published that the incident may have been a result of distracted driving.
