In this incident, it is apparent that the male driver of the Nissan will be held fully responsible for causing the collision that injured the police officer involved. The suspect is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol which has corresponding criminal penalties as it is considered as a serious wrongdoing throughout the state.
Aside from DUI, the motorist is also suspected of running a red light prior to the wreck and fleeing the scene after causing the incident. These factors leave Officer Sergio Arguello a right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault individual.
