CAMARILLO, California (April 29, 2016) – A diesel or hazmat spill was reported following a 2-vehicle crash at Hueneme and Las Posas Roads Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 2:51 p.m.
Preliminary record stated that a wreck occurred at the intersection involving a semi and a truck. But types of vehicles present at the scene remained unresolved as the CHP later logged another automobiles, a Honda Civic VS a big rig.
The force from the impact led to one vehicle ablaze, as mentioned by the authorities. The fire from the smash likely resulted in wounded parties because medical personnel were called to en route over the crash site.
Further, the collision caused a hazmat spill in the area. The CHP team noted that a half ton diesel spilled into the drainage culvert.
Investigation on the incident is underway.
