1 Badly Hurt After Vehicle Hits Pole at Merle Haggard Drive at McCray Street Sunday

Oildale, CA (April 26, 2021) – A car crash that occurred in the area of Merle Haggard Drive at McCray Street resulted in injuries, the KGET news reported.

On April 25, Sunday, a black Volkswagen Jetta careened off the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle ended up smashing into a pole and palm tree at the Oildale intersection.

Emergency teams arrived at the accident scene shortly after 1:40 p.m. According to the article published online, at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Police continue to withhold the name of the victim pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol group said the number of occupants in the Jetta when the crash happened remained unknown.
