At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident at Merle Haggard Drive and Highway 65 Monday
Oildale, CA (December 21, 2020) – A traffic collision that occurred in the area of Merle Haggard Drive and Highway 65 resulted in injuries, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated two automobiles crashed at the Oildale intersection Monday morning. Authorities described the cars involved as a silver Kia sedan and a Nissan pickup truck.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the accident scene. Paramedics rendered aid to the possible victims. Following an examination, officers confirmed at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck.

The news article later mentioned the woman driving the Kia led the responding officers on a vehicle pursuit. For reasons still unclear, the female driver stopped near Airport Drive. It remained unclear whether police subsequently apprehended and arrested the hit-and-run suspect.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car crash in Oildale happened.
