Man in Wheelchair Seriously Injured in Oildale Crash at Chester and Washington
OILDALE, CA (April 13, 2021) – An accident seriously injured a man in a wheelchair at Chester and Washington avenues in Oildale.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the incident occurred on Tuesday night. Officers reported the crash at about 8 p.m.
The California Highway said a pickup truck hit the victim for an unknown reason. The car hit the man in a wheelchair at the intersection of North Chester and Washington avenues in Oildale.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim in the roadway. He suffered major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the hospital for treatment. His name and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the pickup truck stopped after hitting the man in a wheelchair. The motorist stayed at the crash site.
Officials forced the intersection of Chester and Washington to close following the accident. Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
