
Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Oildale Crash at Airport Drive and Norris Road
OILDALE, CA (April 20, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Airport Drive and Norris Road in Oildale.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the collision on April 20 shortly before 9 p.m.
CHP said for an unknown reason, a car struck the pedestrian who was either riding or walking a bicycle in Oildale. The vehicle hit the person at the intersection of Airport Drive and Norris Road.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the driver of the car stopped and stayed at the site following the accident. Officers forced the area of Airport and Norris to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the Oildale pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
