Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-run Crash
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (July 15, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver happened Friday night at Universe Avenue and North Chester Avenue in Oildale.
The traffic accident occurred at 9:35 p.m. on July 12th near Kern County Fire Station 63, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a driver struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to help the person.
Paramedics responded, but the person died at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident in Oildale.
