Pedestrian Injured in Oildale Hit-and-Run at Airport Drive and Olive Drive
OILDALE, CA (August 18, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Airport Drive and Olive Drive in Oildale.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Wednesday night. Officers reported the incident at about 8:36 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Airport Drive and Olive Drive.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the North Beardsley Park. They found the victim left wounded in the roadway as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the injured party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the pedestrian and fled the area. They described the car as a dark blue older model of Chevrolet Silverado.
Officers forced the intersection of Airport and Olive drives to shut down following the collision. The Oildale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
